Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce
  • ¼ cup Mirin
  • 2 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the shrimp and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with rice or noodles.
