Ingredients

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoon water

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Whisk together over medium heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  3. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the saucepan.
  4. Continue to cook and stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
