- 4 whole Green bell peppers tops cut off and seeds removed
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 cup Cooked rice
- 1 small Onion chopped
- 1 can Tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 cup Shredded cheese optional, for topping
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked rice, chopped onion, tomato sauce, salt, and black pepper.
Stuff each green bell pepper with the beef mixture and place them upright in a baking dish.
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
Remove the foil, sprinkle the tops with shredded cheese if desired, and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let the stuffed peppers cool for a few minutes before serving.
