Stuffed Cabbage Rolls Recipe

- 1 head cabbage large
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 1 can diced tomatoes (15 oz)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Carefully remove leaves from the cabbage head and blanch them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until pliable. Set aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
4. Place a small amount of the meat mixture onto each cabbage leaf. Fold in the sides and roll up, securing with toothpicks if necessary.
5. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of tomato sauce. Place the cabbage rolls seam-side down in the dish. Pour remaining tomato sauce and diced tomatoes over the rolls.
6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1.5 hours, until the cabbage is tender and the meat is cooked through.
7. Serve hot and enjoy!
