Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef 80/20 blend
- 4 Burger Buns
- 4 slices Cheese American or Cheddar
- 1 tablespoon Butter for toasting buns
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
1. Preheat your cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and roll into balls.
3. Place a ball of beef in the skillet and smash it down with a spatula until it's about ¼ inch thick. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy, then flip and add a slice of cheese. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
5. While the burgers cook, toast the buns with butter in another pan or in the oven.
6. Assemble the burgers and serve hot.
