Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Celery chopped
  • 1 cup Green Bell Pepper chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Chicken Stock
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • ¼ cup Green Onions chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Parsley chopped
  • 4 cups Cooked White Rice

Instructions 

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add flour and stir constantly to make a roux, cooking until it turns a light brown color.
  2. Add onion, celery, and bell pepper. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Gradually stir in chicken stock, then add Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Add shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in green onions and parsley. Serve over cooked white rice.
