Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Pie crust store-bought or homemade
  • 6 slices Bacon diced
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese shredded
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon Nutmeg freshly grated

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a pie dish. Prick the bottom with a fork.
  3. 3. In a frying pan, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  4. 4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. 5. Sprinkle the cooked bacon and shredded Gruyère cheese evenly over the pie crust.
  6. 6. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese.
  7. 7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the quiche is set and golden brown.
  8. 8. Let the quiche cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
