Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large Potatoes Russet or Yukon Gold
  • 1 quart Vegetable oil for frying
  • to taste Salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. Slice potatoes thinly using a mandoline slicer.
  2. 2. Soak potato slices in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. 3. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.
  4. 4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. 5. Fry potato slices in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  6. 6. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt immediately.
