Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup White vinegar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Celery seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 1 small Red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon Lemon, thinly sliced

Instructions 

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, garlic, mustard seeds, celery seeds, and red pepper flakes. Stir until sugar and salt are dissolved.
  3. In a jar, layer the shrimp, red onion, and lemon slices. Pour the vinegar mixture over the shrimp until fully submerged. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
