Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter melted
  • 2 cups Celery chopped
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 pint Oysters drained and chopped
  • 8 cups Bread cubes toasted
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add celery and onion, and cook until softened.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the celery mixture, chicken broth, oysters, bread cubes, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
