Main Ingredients
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- ½ cup butter
- 1 quart oysters, chopped with liquid
- 1 quart chicken broth
- 1 lb cornbread, crumbled
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, sauté celery and onion in butter until tender.
In a large mixing bowl, combine celery mixture, oysters, chicken broth, cornbread, salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning. Mix well.
Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish.
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
