Ingredients

  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 quart oysters, chopped with liquid
  • 1 quart chicken broth
  • 1 lb cornbread, crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, sauté celery and onion in butter until tender.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine celery mixture, oysters, chicken broth, cornbread, salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning. Mix well.
  4. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
