Mofongo Recipe
A traditional Puerto Rican dish made with fried plantains, garlic, and pork cracklings.

Main Ingredients
- 4 large Green Plantains peeled and cut into 1-inch slices
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 cup Pork Cracklings chopped
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black Pepper
1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
2. Fry the plantain slices until golden and tender, about 4-5 minutes per side.
3. Remove plantains from the pan and drain on paper towels.
4. In a mortar and pestle, mash the garlic and pork cracklings together.
5. Add the fried plantains to the mortar and mash until well combined. Add chicken broth as needed to reach desired consistency.
6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve warm.
