Mofongo Recipe
A traditional Puerto Rican dish made with fried plantains, garlic, and pork cracklings.

Main Ingredients
- 4 large Green Plantains peeled and cut into 1-inch slices
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 cup Pork Cracklings chopped
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black Pepper
- 1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. 
- 2. Fry the plantain slices until golden and tender, about 4-5 minutes per side. 
- 3. Remove plantains from the pan and drain on paper towels. 
- 4. In a mortar and pestle, mash the garlic and pork cracklings together. 
- 5. Add the fried plantains to the mortar and mash until well combined. Add chicken broth as needed to reach desired consistency. 
- 6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve warm.
