Instructions 

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the popcorn kernels and sugar, and stir to coat.
  3. Cover the pot with a lid and shake it occasionally to prevent burning.
  4. Once popping slows down, remove from heat and sprinkle with salt.
  5. Pour into a large bowl and let cool before serving.
