Jamaican Oxtail Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 3 lbs oxtail
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 large onion chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon browning sauce
- 2 carrots carrots sliced
- 1 can butter beans drained
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
2. Add the oxtail and brown on all sides.
3. Remove the oxtail and set aside.
4. In the same pot, add the onion, garlic, and thyme. Cook until the onion is soft.
5. Return the oxtail to the pot. Add the beef broth, soy sauce, and browning sauce. Bring to a boil.
6. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 2.5 to 3 hours, until the oxtail is tender.
7. Add the carrots and butter beans. Cook for another 30 minutes.
8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
