Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati Rice
  • 2 cups Mixed Vegetables (carrots, peas, beans) chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  3. Add the chopped mixed vegetables and sauté for 5-7 minutes until they start to soften.
  4. Add the rinsed rice to the pot and stir to combine with the vegetables.
  5. Pour in the water, add salt and garam masala, and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
  7. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
