Honduran Baleadas Recipe
Honduran Baleadas are a traditional dish made with thick flour tortillas filled with refried beans, cheese, and other toppings. They are simple, delicious, and perfect for any meal.

- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 3 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- ¾ cup Warm water
- 1 cup Refried beans
- ½ cup Crumbled cheese (queso fresco or feta)
- ¼ cup Sour cream
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the vegetable oil and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and flatten into a thick tortilla.
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook each tortilla for about 2 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
Spread refried beans on each tortilla, then top with crumbled cheese and sour cream. Fold in half and serve warm.
