Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • ¾ cup Warm water
  • 1 cup Refried beans
  • ½ cup Crumbled cheese (queso fresco or feta)
  • ¼ cup Sour cream

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the vegetable oil and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and flatten into a thick tortilla.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook each tortilla for about 2 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
  6. Spread refried beans on each tortilla, then top with crumbled cheese and sour cream. Fold in half and serve warm.
