Ingredients 

Fish Tacos

  • 1 lb white fish fillets such as cod or tilapia
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 8 small tortillas corn or flour

Cilantro Slaw

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. Mix chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt in a small bowl. Rub the fish fillets with olive oil and the spice mix.
  2. 2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until it flakes easily with a fork.
  3. 3. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cabbage, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, and salt. Toss well.
  4. 4. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  5. 5. Assemble the tacos by placing pieces of fish on each tortilla and topping with cilantro slaw.
