Country Scalloped Potatoes
A classic, comforting side dish made with layers of thinly sliced potatoes, cheese, and a creamy sauce.

- 6 cups Thinly sliced potatoes
- 1 cup Chopped onion
- 2 cups Grated cheddar cheese
- 2 cups Milk
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper until smooth. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
In a greased 2-½-qt. baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, onion, and cheese. Pour half of the sauce over the top. Repeat layers.
Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Uncover; bake 10-15 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender.
