Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 large Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 can Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 1 can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Pour in the red wine and let it reduce by half.
  7. Add the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, oregano, and basil. Stir well.
  8. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 2 hours.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
