Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Black beans canned, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup Rice uncooked
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  3. 3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. 4. Stir in the rice, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
  5. 5. Add the water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. 6. Stir in the black beans and cook until heated through, about 5 minutes.
