- 4 cups Potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups Milk
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and bubbles. Add salt and pepper.
Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish. Pour half of the sauce over the potatoes. Repeat with remaining potatoes and sauce.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
